Complete dry food is suitable for your cat
Is dry food rich in vegetable ingredients in fact suitable for cats, who are generally considered to be meat-eaters? The answer is yes and the reasons for this are as follows. The vegetable ingredients in CASA-FERA, such as corn, rice and barley, are largely made up of starch. Cats are physiologically excellently equipped to digest starch. The above-mentioned vegetable ingredients are less allergenic than well-known products of animal origin. The corn in CASA-FERA is examined beforehand and does not contain any undesirable substances (mycotoxines). Thanks to the large proportion of vegetable matter, dry food is rich in complex carbohydrates (especially starch) as a source of energy. The breakdown of carbohydrates in the body relieves the liver and kidneys. Dry food, when properly formulated, will contain all the essential nutrients in the right quantities and cats like it. Unlike in the case of other animals, it is vital for cats to have a number of specific nutrients in their food, as it is not possible for their bodies to produce these. It concerns the substances taurine, gamma linolenic acid, arachidon acid, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and retinol. Dry cat food has been used for over 100 years now and there is no evidence whatsoever that it has a detrimental effect on the health of cats.
